Comments	Fis, HU and IHF are expressed in dimers per cell. Table gives Number of protein copies per cell, DNA binding site size, and percent of chromosomal DNA bound by protein for both exponential and stationary phase. Values are approximations as they are derived from many research groups. FIS is a nucleoid-associated protein in E. coli. It is highly expressed from fis gene from the end of the stationary phase till the mid-exponential phase.
