Spinach was grown in a greenhouse with additional light in an 10 h light/14 h dark period. Leaves were harvested after more than 6 h illumination. Plants were kept in the dark for 60 minutes, and photosynthesis was induced by illumination in air |

Ratios and values were measured under different photosynthetic flux situations caused by different CO 2 concentrations in the gas phase at constant high light intensity (200 W.*m- 2 ). Low value for highest CO 2 concentration (=2750 ul/liter). High value for lowest CO 2 concentration (=50 ul/liter). |
