Comments | P.836 left column 2nd paragraph: "Next, [investigators] performed quantitative determinations of more than a dozen major SV proteins. Quantitation was performed by either western blotting or dot blotting, using purified proteins as standards. Figure 1A shows an example of such a determination, and Figure 1B summarizes the results for all analyzed proteins, including a few data from previous publications. Synaptophysin, synaptobrevin 2 (also referred to as VAMP2), synaptotagmin 1, and synapsin I are among the most abundant proteins, in very good agreement with earlier results (primary sources Goelz et al., 1981, Walch-Solimena et al., 1995)." |
