“The effects of dilution rate and heat stress at a specified dilution rate on the cell composition of continuously cultured bakers' yeast were studied. The cell composition of the yeast was determined in terms of RNA, total protein and the saccharides trehalose and glycogen. The medium composition was determined in terms of residual sucrose (as glucose equivalents), phosphate and ammonia.” |
