Comments P.174 right column 2nd paragraph: "The human auditory frequency range covers about 8–9 octaves in a young healthy subject, from ∼40 Hz to nearly 20 kHz. In the mouse, the range of hearing is ∼4 octaves, although the range is displaced so that the upper limit of murine hearing extends 1.5 octaves above the human."
