Organism Cow Bos Taurus

Method Abstract: "[Investigators] have prepared and isolated complexes of purified RNA polymerase II halted at defined positions along a DNA template, and [they] have used deoxyribonuclease I (DNAse I) to map the interactions of the polymerase with the DNA template."
Comments P.116 right column 2nd paragraph: "These asymmetric changes in the DNAse I footprint during elongation result in modest changes in the total size of the protected region. The polymerase fully protects 42±2bp of the DNA. When the partial protection is included, this distance extends to 51±4bp of protection."
