Method |
Oocytes at different stages of maturation were taken from 6-7-cm-long female frogs anesthetized by immersion in 0.1% p-aminobenzoic acid ethyl ester, 0.3% KHCO3, pH 7.5. The abdominal cavity was opened using sterile conditions to remove a single ovarian lobe. The incision was sutured, and the animal was returned to its tank once the effects of the anesthetic ceased. then in vitro fertilization and Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. |
Comments |
The corresponding concentration is 0.01 mM copper in 1 microliter eggs. Lörinczi E et al 2008 PMID 18222167 found value of 0.05 mM, difference likely explained by difference in copper content of drinking water in which animals are kept |
