Method |
By RNA interference (RNAi) eight genes, including clk-1, involved in ubiquinone biosynthesis. in C. elegans feeding animals with dsRNA-containing Escherichia coli HT115 strains. Gene interference. HPLC |
Comments |
The analysis of Q9 content by HPLC showed that it was diminished by 60% in N2 strain after 2 weeks silencing clk-1/coq7 (Fig. 2, Fig. 3 upper panel), and absent in the negative control clk-1 qm51 mutant strain. However, no significant accumulation of demethoxy-Q9 (DMQ9) was detected in coq-7/clk-1-interfered as verified for clk-1 mutants |
