Method	About 600 mW of laser power at 1064 nm was used to select and position a cell for study. The cell’s radius was measured from pictures made by researchers' imaging system. A sequence of voltage pulses would then be applied to the cuvette’s electrodes such that successive pulses increased the field experienced by the cell until researchers observed permeabilization.
