Comments P.6663 left column 3rd paragraph: "The total concentration of cytoplasmic inorganic ions in E. coli is ∼300 mM according to the CyberCell database [BNID 100124]. The concentration of K+, by far the most abundant inorganic ion, varies drastically with osmotic conditions (ref 31). 200 mM is reported to be physiologically relevant (primary source) and CyberCell notes a concentration range of 200–250 mM."
