Comments P.1883 right column 3rd paragraph: "In homogeneous media at fixed temperature, the diffusion coefficient, D, is constant and the flux of particles is proportional to the concentration gradient and occurs in the direction of lower concentration. The above equation will be used to describe oxygen diffusion through the water surrounding photosynthetic cells, for which D = 2.0 × 10^-9 m^2/s at room temperature (primary source)."
