Comments P.128 2nd paragraph: "Nuclear DNA content and pollen size-These two characters are positively related in several grass and cereal species whose basic chromosome number is seven (figure 3). The regression for the data for 16 species (table 7) is highly significant (P < 0.001), although the species differ in ploidy level, morphology and life-cycle type. Such a relationship depends on the extremely determinate nature of pollen development."
