Comments P.1102 right column 4th paragraph: "Some fungi exhibit a high uranium oxide tolerance, and possess the ability to solubilize UO3 and U3O8 and to accumulate uranium within the mycelium to over 80 mg/(g dry weight) biomass, the uranyl ion is coordinated to phosphate ligands, the ectomycorrhizal fungi mixed phosphate/carboxylate coordination had been observed (Fomina et al., 2007). An endophytic fungus Microsphaeropsis sp. LSE10 isolated from cadmium hyperaccumulator Solanum nigrum shows the maximum Cd biosorption capacity of 247.5 mg/g, which is much higher than those of other adsorbents ( Xiao et al., 2010). The dark septate endophytic strains Exophiala pisciphila is able to accumulate lead and cadmium to over 20% and 5% of the dry weight, respectively (primary source)."
