Comments P.419 right column top paragraph: "Therefore, [investigators] will additionally calculate the equivalent values for P. carterae. In contrast with E. huxleyi, P. carterae forms about three coccoliths at once (see fig. 14 in primary source Outka and Williams 1971). Hence, an overall fusion frequency of 0.3 vesicles/sec can be deduced from the values given in Table 2 for P. carterae when assuming a vesicle radius of 200 nm."
