Comments p.363 bottom paragraph:"Young's modulus—the ratio of pressure to relative change in linear dimension, akin to the spring constant of a bulk material—of the peptidoglycan itself is much higher (∼100 MPa) than measured turgor pressures (1–10 atm = 0.1–1 MPa) (primary sources), enabling a thin layer of peptidoglycan to robustly withstand the internal turgor pressure of the cell."
