Method Abstract:"Using two independent methods, incorporation of radioactive amino-acid and quantitative immunoblotting, [investigators] have determined that the rate of synthesis of each of the Semliki Forest virus (SFV) proteins in infected baby hamster kidney (BHK) cells is 1.2 X 10^(5) copies/cell/min."
Comments p.2144 left column bottom paragraph:"Given the considerable variation in estimates for each data point, the two independent methods of measuring the rate of synthesis of the viral proteins agree remarkably well. The mean value, 1.2x10^5 copies of E1/cell/min is used as the best estimate of synthetic rate in the calculations that follow."
