Comments "The cluster of RuBisCO complexes in the pyrenoid was encased in a starch sheath (Figures 1G, 3A–B and 9A–B), and non-spherical starch granules were found throughout the chloroplast (Figures 1G, 3A–B, 4A–B and 7A–B). In addition to starch, [researchers] observed smaller 64 ± 15 nm spherical plastoglobules (n = 20 globules from 9 tomograms) (primary sources) that were always closely associated with thylakoid membranes (Figure 4)."
