Comments "Voelker (primary source) examined transport of PS from ER to mitochondria baby hamster kidney cells by exploiting the fact that PS synthesis occurs in the ER and PS decarboxylase is a mitochondrial enzyme. Therefore, labeling of PE with [3H]serine can be used to measure PS transport. Transport of PS to the mitochondria (half-time of 7 h) was inhibited treatment with NaN3 plus NaF, which suggests that transport is dependent on ATP (primary source)."
