Organism Mouse Mus musculus
Reference Li et al. (2014), System wide analyses have underestimated protein abundances and the importance of transcription in mammals. PeerJ 2:e270 DOI 10.7717/peerj.270 Dataset S1 DOI: 10.7717/peerj.270/supp-1PubMed ID24688849
Method "Western blot and SILAC mass spectrometry measurements"
Comments "[Researchers'] starting point was a set of published abundances of 53 mammalian housekeeping proteins, most of which are based on SILAC mass spectrometry or western blot data. On average these established estimates are 16 fold higher than those from Schwanhausser et al.'s (2011) original label free mass spectrometry data (Dataset S1), and are 3-10 fold higher than Schwanhausser et al.'s second label free mass spectrometry data for proteins expressed below 10^6 molecules per cell. The new estimates presented here correct Schwanhausser et al.'s second estimates."
