Comments "The energy per kilogram of milk varies mainly with the fat content...Table 18.9 compares the composition and energy content of milk from various animals. The fat content of milk varies from 0.3% in the rhinoceros to 49% in porpoises,a variation of over 100-fold. Lactose is as low as 0.3% in milk from fin whales and reaches 7% in human milk. Protein content varies least, ranging from 1.2% in human milk to 13% in whale milk."
