Comments "The buoyant densities of various cell organelles and viruses are tabulated in Table 5. The majority of the cell organelles have densities in silica solutions of less than 1.10g/ml. When the same particles are centrifuged, e.g., in sucrose gradients, they have densities in the range of 1.15-1.25 g/ml. "
