Comments	"The nitrogen fixation rates for cyanobacteria symbiotically associated with bryophytes are several-fold higher than for the same free-living cyanobacteria (Table 1). This increase is due to a greatly elevated heterocyst frequency, which may be 6–10-fold higher than in the free-living state (Table 1)."
