| Method |
For counting chloroplasts, leaf pieces were macerated
in a solution containing 5% CrO3 and 1 N HCl and
the number of chloroplast per cell was counted under a
light microscope in cell suspensions in 30 replicates for
both palisade and spongy tissue. |
