Comments "A comovirus has a bipartite genome of single-stranded RNA of the messenger polarity. Cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV), the type member of the comovirus group, is also the most extensively investigated member. The RNA 1 and RNA 2 of a comovirus are separately encapsidated into icosahedral virions with a diameter of approximately 28 nm and composed of 60 copies each of a larger coat protein, L, and a smaller coat protein, S (Wu and Bruening, 1971 Chen et al., 1989)." 27.8 nm according to PMID 18931258 p.10 left column 2nd paragraph
