Method Light microscopic reconstructions based on serial sections have been used to count the number of nuclei and identify particular features of individual cells in the CNS of four larvae of C. intestinalis.
Comments n=3. The similarities in these counts (±4, or 1.5% from the mean) suggest that the CNS, or at least part of it, could be eutelic, that is, could have a constant number of cells in this species from individual to individual.
