||Arrhenius analysis of the dependence of L-cell nuclear
envelope NTPase activity on temperature resulted in a linear
plot (temperature range 0-35°C) (p.154, Fig. 5B). The corresponding value for activation energy of total poly(a) rich mRNA was calculated to be 51.5±3.8 kJ/mol, suggesting a role of
NTPase in mediating nucleocytoplasmic RNA efflux.
