Value 1e+6 cells/ml
Organism Cyanobacteria

Comments Typically Synechococcus populations are about 10-fold less abundant than Prochlorococcus populations, except in coastal waters. However, their abundance maxima are similar at around 10^6 cells/ml whilst their relative abundance may change on a seasonal basis.
