Method Oocytes at different stages of maturation were taken from 6-7-cm-long female frogs anesthetized by immersion in 0.1% p-aminobenzoic acid ethyl ester, 0.3% KHCO3, pH 7.5. The abdominal cavity was opened using sterile conditions to remove a single ovarian lobe. The incision was sutured, and the animal was returned to its tank once the effects of the anesthetic ceased. then in vitro fertilization and Atomic Absorption Spectrometry.
Comments The corresponding concentration is 0.01 mM copper in 1 microliter eggs. Lörinczi E et al 2008 PMID 18222167 found value of 0.05 mM, difference likely explained by difference in copper content of drinking water in which animals are kept
