Method P.796 right column 2nd paragraph: "Here [investigators] report a method for the in vivo labeling of mRNA transcripts containing a series of repeated stem-loops (from phage MS2), which are specifically bound by an MS2 coat protein fused to green fluorescent protein (GFP)[ref 16]. The assay consists of a human cell line harboring a gene array into which these stem-loops have been integrated [ref 17]."
Comments Abstract: "Polymerases elongated at 4.3 kilobases/min, much faster than previously documented, and entered a paused state for unexpectedly long times." P.803 right column top paragraph: "A nonpausing polymerase could transcribe the entire 3.3-kb gene in 46 s (at 4.3 kb/min)." (value is 4.3kb/min) See also average polymerase velocity (BNID 100661) and pause residence time (BNID 104586). YFP-Pol II is amanitin resistant allele. See BNID 101904, 100060
