The first method of leukocyte size estimation (refs 5, 34) utilized axial light extinction in the pulse width mode on a cytofluorograph (model 50H with appended 2150 Computer, Ortho Diagnostics, Westwood, MA) calibrated with standard 5-, 10-, and 15-µm latex beads (Coulter).” P.769 left column 2nd paragraph: “The second method employed a Coulter counter calibrated with latex beads of known size. Cell diameter and volume were measured using standard techniques (ref 42)." |
