P.20 2nd paragraph: "Macrofibrils: The spindle-shaped macrofibrils in human hair are approximately 0.1 to 0.4 micron in width or diameter [primary source] and comprise a major portion of the cortical cells (see Figures 1-15 and 1-18). Each macrofibril consists of microfibrils (highly organized fibrillar units) and matrix, a less organized structure that surrounds each microfibril. These structures are illustrated schematically in Figure 1-19." |
