Method P.12 left column bottom paragraph: "Heterotrophic and mixotrophic cells were grown in TAP media [Harris EH: The Chlamydomonas Sourcebook 1989] and autotrophic cells were grown in similar media without addition of acetic acid. Growth was monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring absorbance at 750 nm."
Comments Corresponding to Specific growth rates of (Hours^-1) 0.035±0.002 heterotrophic: 0.059±0.001 autotrophic: 0.066±0.007 mixotrophic. For dry weight composition see BNID 105924. P.12 right column 2nd paragraph: "Maximum uptake rates-In order to add constraints on nutrient and light uptake to the model, additional experimental measurements were taken. Maximum growth rates were measured for all three growth conditions from three separate experiments. The results are shown in Table 7." Please note error on p.8 right column bottom paragraph: "For example, a lower yield for heterotrophic growth is off-set by a faster growth rate, which may be ideal for the production of growth associated products." ‘heterotrophic’ in the above sentence should be ‘mixotrophic’ heart-felt thanks to Avi F. for detecting this error, and to article author JA Morgan for confirming that this sentence is indeed incorrectly worded.
