P.5 left column 2nd paragraph: "A shift from energetically favorable acetic acid production during early growth (4 ATP/glucose) toward predominantly lactic acid production during later growth stages (two ATP/glucose) has been observed (Supplementary Figure S5C–E). Concurrently, cellular lactate dehydrogenase levels (MPN674, LDH) increased five‐fold from 203 copies to above 1000 copies per cell during 4 days of growth (primary source)." |
