Comments The adenylates energy charge is computed as: EC=([ATP]+[ADP]/2)/([ATP]+[ADP]+[AMP]). Schaub et al. (primary source) determined an EC of 0.66 for E. coli growing also with µ=0.1 h-1 by quenching the whole culture broth with a heat exchanger.
