Comments The rate of biosynthesis of ubiquinone in the liver of the rat is about 0.05.umol/day (calculated from the present experiments), and this forms the major portion of ubiquinone synthesized in the animal, whereas ten times this quantity (0.5,umol) of p-hydroxybenzoate is excreted per day in the urine.
