Measurement MethodResearchers investigated the organisation of the photosynthetic apparatus in Phaeospirillum molischianum, using biochemical fractionation and functional kinetic measurements. From the one electron per centre calibration of TMPD oxidation using a single turnover flash, researchers can estimate the quinone corresponding to the fast phase as about 25 quinones (50 electrons) per RC.
