Comments P.309 5th paragraph: "CSF is renewed about four times every 24 hours. Reduction of the CSF turnover rate during ageing leads to accumulation of catabolites in the brain and CSF that are also observed in certain neurodegenerative diseases." P.314 left column 3rd paragraph: "CSF is renewed four to five times per 24 hours in young adults. Ageing is characterised by a relative increase of the CSF compartment with respect to the brain parenchyma due to cerebral atrophy and a reduction of CSF turnover to three times a day at the age of 77 years."
