Intracellular copper concentration under different growth conditions

Range 4.6±1.2x10^5 copper deficient: 3.4±1.2x10^5 copper replete atoms/cell
Organism Yeast Cryptococcus neoformans
Reference Meera R Raja, Scott R Waterman, Jin Qiu , Reiner Bleher, Peter R Williamson and Thomas V. O'Halloran, A copper hyperaccumulation phenotype correlates with pathogenesis in Cryptococcus neoformans, Metallomics, 2013, Accepted Manuscript DOI: 10.1039/C3MT20220H p.6 3rd paragraph
Comments "The resulting analysis showed that intracellular copper concentrations in C. neoformans were not significantly different under the two growth conditions, 4.6 ± 1.2 x10^5 atoms/cell and 3.4 ± 1.2x10^5 atoms/cell, respectively. These numbers were similar to the number of copper atoms accrued by cells grown in media not supplemented with copper chelators, 3.2 ± 0.6x10^5 atoms of copper per cell."
