Fractional water content of chloroplast

Range 0.51 in the dark: 0.41 in the light unitless
Organism Pea Pisum sativum
Reference Park S. Nobel, Physicochemical and Environmental Plant Physiology, 3rd edition, Elsevier academic press, 2005 p.76 bottom paragraph and p.77 top paragraph
Method Using the chloroplast volumes obtained for a p0 of 0.7MPa and 17µm^3 for the nonwater volume b, [researchers] find that the fractional water content of pea chloroplasts in the dark is (V-b)/V=(35µm^3-17µm^3)/35µm^3=0.51 or 51%. In the light it is 41%.
