Range Table - link
Organism Budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Reference Jorgensen P, Edgington NP, Schneider BL, Rupes I, Tyers M, Futcher B. The size of the nucleus increases as yeast cells grow. Mol Biol Cell. 2007 Sep18(9):3523-32. table 2 link PubMed ID17596521
Method Morphometry: Image processing software (Particles8 Plus at link) Image processing takes an image as an input and yields 1) another image - take a grayscale image and produce a color image, and (2) set of parameters as output- sphericity (minimal radius/maximal radius), Aspect ratio (feret (width)/breadth), etc.
Comments Table gives values of nuclei and cell volumes for wild type and several mutant strains. See Nuclear volume of 2.9 um^3 BNID 100447
